Stunning, fine silky rayon printed 1940s dress is in museum quality and is a real beauty. The cut and design are beautiful - it is loose through the body and skim your curves but has a matching tie belt that you can cinch in the waist with. It has a fantastic huge grey scale leaf and branch print on the gorgeous green back drop. The cut is so easy to wear - a loose fitting bodice tops a wide cut skirt that gently flares out as it nears the hem. I love the ruffles that ring the neck and shoulders and how this same ruffle detail is used to finish the hem. It is a tremendous example of the workmanship and extraordinary thought that went into dresses during that time period. A wonderful piece to wear now! Excellent condition
The dress is unlined and slips over the head to wear. Note that there is a small hole right under where the belt sits (so does not show when belted at all) its about the size of a cigarette ash burn. Priced accordingly. The very loose and easy cut when not belted will allow it to fit a large variety of sizes.
